OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - Ocean City authorities say four people were hurt in a fire in a building that houses a pub and several apartments.

The fire was reported shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday at De Lazy Lizard on North Philadelphia Avenue.

Authorities say firefighters rescued two people who were trapped. Several out-of-town fire companies battled the blaze for two hours before bringing it under control.

The Route 50 bridge was closed briefly because smoke from the fire reduced visibility.

Officials say four people, including two firefighters, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
