BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) - A Biddeford man accused of running over and killing his mother with his pickup truck during an argument over money has been indicted.

Authorities say 26-year-old Shane Jones was indicted Monday on charges of manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal crash, and reckless conduct with a motor vehicle.

Investigators say Shane Jones and 49-year-old Kimberly Jones were arguing over money that the son owed his mother on Nov. 23.

When Jones left their home, Kimberly Jones followed him outside. The son allegedly struck and ran over his mother as he backed out of the driveway

Shane Jones has been held on $50,000 cash bail since his arrest. He has not yet entered a plea. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer. His arraignment has not been scheduled.
