PINE RIDGE, S.C. (AP) - Highway officials are closing a bridge on U.S. Highway 21/176 in Lexington County for about a month for repairs.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation says crews will replace beams on a bridge on the highway south of where it crosses Interstate 26 at Exit 119.

The bridge is scheduled to be closed Tuesday and the DOT hopes to finish the repairs by March 12.

A detour of over 6 miles has been posted.
