CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A former sixth-grade teacher in Cheyenne charged with having sex with a 13-year-old boy has pleaded no contest to second- and third-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1CdwoBQ) 55-year-old Anna Andersen entered her pleas on Monday. Prosecutors have agreed to drop one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor and four second-degree counts. The plea agreement doesn’t include a sentencing recommendation. A sentencing date has not been set.

Andersen was arrested in March 2014.

Prosecutors say she and the boy had an ongoing relationship from 2012-2014 and a sexual relationship for two years. Prosecutors say the boy was prepared to testify and investigators had text messages and other evidence to support the charges.

Defense attorney Sean Barrett told the court there is a pending civil lawsuit in the case.
