MANY, La. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly fatally shooting another teenager in Sabine Parish.

Just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s office responded to the Apollo Apartments in Many after getting reports of a shooting. The Times reports (https://bit.ly/1CeJ3nO ) a 16-year-old was pronounced dead at Sabine Medical Center from a single gunshot wound.

The alleged shooter, whose identity is not being released because of his age, was arrested Monday in Natchitoches Parish on a warrant for second-degree murder.

Another suspect, 24-year-old Porsha C. Aldredge, of Many, was also booked Monday into the Sabine Parish Detention Center on a charge of accessory after-the-fact for second-degree murder. Aldredge allegedly transported the gunman from Many to Natchitoches to help him evade arrest.
