HOUMA, La. (AP) - Terrebonne Parish sheriff’s deputies say the former Mardi Gras krewe king arrested Monday for allegedly violating a sex offender law has been arrested a second time for using a social networking business site.

The Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1AftMG0) deputies found 34-year-old Glynn Matherne had a LinkedIn profile that included his photo and a brief mention of his position at the Houston-based company.

Capt. Dawn Foret said Wednesday it’s a violation for sex offenders to have social media accounts.

Matherne was arrested Monday for allegedly wearing a mask in last year’s Krewe of Mardi Gras parade, which is considered a violation of the sex offender law.

He was forced to resign as king Tuesday.

Matherne has been a registered sex offender since 2003 after being convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
