TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) - Martin Hermannsson scored 12 points - all in the second half - and made two free throws for the win, pushing LIU Brooklyn over Robert Morris 63-62 on Thursday night.

Hermannsson hit a pair of free throws to give LIU Brooklyn a 63-62 advantage with 1:19 remaining. Joel Hernandez got an offensive board, a steal on the other end, and blocked a shot attempt with less than a second left to seal the win.

Robert Morris (12-13, 8-5 Northeast Conference) led 40-30 at intermission, but LIU Brooklyn’s defense in the second half made all the difference. The Blackbirds (11-13, 7-6) held Robert Morris to 25-percent shooting after the break, making 52.6 percent by comparison.

Marcquise Reed scored 14 points to lead the Colonials, who dropped into a third-place tie in the conference after the loss.
