BALTIMORE (AP) - A federal jury has convicted a Baltimore man for an attempted robbery in which a 9-year-old boy was shot.

The jury on Thursday convicted 38-year-old Kenneth Ray Graham of attempting to commit an armed robbery and possessing and discharging a weapon in furtherance of a crime of violence.

According to evidence presented at trial, on Sept. 17, 2013, Graham tried to force his way into a public housing unit in Cherry Hill. Prosecutors say Graham fired three shots into the home, hitting and injuring a 9-year-old boy.

Graham faces a maximum of 20 years in prison for the attempted robbery. Sentencing is set for May 13.
