WASHINGTON (AP) - A District man has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the death of his month-old son.

Twenty -year-old Tyrik Lamont Brown entered the plea Thursday in the Superior Court.

According to the government’s evidence, on Oct. 29, Brown called 911 saying his son was unconscious. Month-old Raj’saun Tyrik Brown was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The medical examiner found that the cause of the child’s death was multiple blunt force injuries, including a skull fracture and rib fractures.

Brown’s plea agreement calls for a sentence ranging from four to 10 years in prison. Sentencing is set for April 24.
