BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Boulder police are investigating after witnesses say two men climbed a 200-foot crane in downtown Boulder at night and parachuted to the street below.

Department spokeswoman Kim Kobel tells The Daily Camera (https://bit.ly/1vHBwyO ) that two officers were patrolling the area at 2 a.m. Saturday when a man told them someone had fallen and needed help.

The officers went to the area and found an injured man lying in the road wearing a parachute.

Dozens of witnesses leaving bars in the area at the time said they saw two men parachute from the crane. Kobel says the man who was not injured fled the scene but later returned.

Police are working with the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges are appropriate. The men’s names have not been released.
