PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The New England mayor who won a bet over the Super Bowl is showing off the spoils he received from his counterpart in Seattle.

Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza on Thursday opened the package he received from Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, a fellow Democrat, after the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL championship game.

Murray sent some Seattle favorites to Elorza, including Northwest alder-smoked salmon from Pure Food Fish Market, whole bean coffees from the original Starbucks at Pike Place Market and a giant bag of Skittles. Skittles are the favorite snack of Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch.

Elorza took Murray’s bet after Boston Mayor Marty Walsh declined the wager. Walsh said he didn’t want to “jinx” the Patriots after losing two previous mayoral sports bets.
