MOSINEE, Wis. (AP) - Investigators are looking for the cause of a fire that killed two people in Mosinee.

Mosinee Police Chief Ken Muelling said Friday three people were able to escape the lower unit of a duplex. Authorities say the two victims, an adult female and an adult male, were found in the upper unit. Authorities haven’t released their identities.

Firefighters were called to the house about 5 p.m. Thursday. Fire officials say the frigid temperatures made their work challenging.
