BLACK ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say three people were killed in two separate automobile crashes - including two who died in a head-on collision on Highway 63 near Black Rock.

A police report says 40-year-old Wesley Bishop of Myrtle, Mississippi, and 51-year-old Mark Brian of Phoenix were killed Thursday afternoon when a vehicle driven southbound by Bishop crossed the centerline of the highway and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer rig driven northbound by Brian. A third vehicle then crashed into the wreckage, but the driver was not injured.

Another head-on collision claimed the life of a Stuttgart woman.

State police say Christy Mack also died Thursday when the vehicle she was driving southbound on Highway 79 in Jefferson County was struck by a northbound vehicle that had crossed the center line.
