MONROVIA, Calif. (AP) - An out-of-control car has injured five people, including three children, at a Los Angeles-area car wash.

Police say the Toyota Camry was at a self-serve wash in Monrovia Friday afternoon when the driver lost control.

The car hit two others that in turn struck a 10-year-old boy and a woman.

Lt. Nick Manfredi says the boy suffered a head injury and was hospitalized in stable condition.

The woman was taken to a hospital with an arm injury.

Manfredi says a 7- or 8-year-old girl was in one car that was struck. She was taken to a hospital for examination.

The Camry’s driver had a nose injury and an 8-year-old girl in his car complained of arm pain. Neither was hospitalized.

Investigators have ruled out alcohol or drugs in the accident.
