TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - It’s cold in New Jersey and will only get colder.

Single digit temperatures on Friday are coupled with strong winds, making it feel like 10 degrees below zero in some spots. But forecasters say that’s nothing compared to what’s ahead for Valentine’s Day.

The National Weather Service says northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph could gust up to 60 mph from Saturday night into Sunday.

Those winds could down trees and power lines and make it feel like it’s 15 to 25 degrees below zero.

There’s also a chance for snow Saturday. The forecast calls for 1 to 2 inches in south Jersey, 2 to 4 inches from Ocean County to Hunterdon County and 3 to 5 inches in parts of north Jersey.
