HAMILTON, Mont. (AP) - A 32-year-old Hamilton man is charged with kidnapping, drugging and repeatedly raping a 17-year-old girl over a period of several days.

Byron Craig Hall Jr. made an initial appearance in Justice Court Thursday on charges of aggravated kidnapping, sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault, child endangerment and numerous drug charges, the Ravalli Republic (https://bit.ly/17t2teH) reported. Hall did not enter a plea. Justice of the Peace Jim Bailey set bail at $750,000.

Hall’s public defender, Ron Piper, did not immediately return a phone call from The Associated Press on Friday seeking comment.

Court records said Hall met the girl at a college orientation and she invited him to her apartment. She told investigators that she mentioned Hall’s ex-girlfriend and he became extremely angry and “just snapped.”

She said he twice choked her until she passed out, injected her with methamphetamines and repeatedly raped her.

The girl told officers she didn’t know how many times she was raped or injected with meth, but it was a “lot,” court records said. She said Hall also told her he tested positive for Hepatitis C.

The girl said Hall held her prisoner for several days both by force and the use of drugs.

A hospital exam found bruising on both sides of the girl’s throat, on her arms and the tops of her thighs. She also had recent puncture wounds on her arms consistent with needle marks, court records said.

The girl’s 8-month-old child was present during the ordeal. Court records did not say who took care of the child.
