GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Grand Forks firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire at a building under construction on the University of North Dakota campus.

Firefighters evacuated UND’s athletics High Performance Center about 11 a.m. Thursday while they extinguished smoldering foam insulation on the roof.

No one was hurt, and construction workers were allowed back on scene about 1:30 p.m. A damage estimate was not released.

The $17.8 million facility is being built on the site of the school’s old hockey arena, near the football stadium. It will be a training facility for athletes in all sports, as well as a competition venue for track and field.
