NEWBERRY, S.C. (AP) - A log truck driver has died after he was pinned between the lumber on his truck and another truck that pulled behind him just north of Newberry.

Newberry County Coroner Craig Newton told local media outlets that 51-year-old Dan Frederick Little of Jonesville died late Thursday afternoon.

Newton says Little was removing the flag at the end of his truck when another log truck pulled behind him in the unloading line. The coroner says the driver of the second truck went to the back of his vehicle when it rolled forward, pinning Little.

An autopsy was planned Friday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
