WASHINGTON (AP) - A D.C. man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two young girls while on supervised release from an earlier conviction of child sexual abuse.

Thirty-seven-year-old James Izlar entered the plea Friday in Superior Court. He faces a maximum of 12 years in prison at sentencing on April 24.

According to the government’s evidence, Izlar was on supervised release for a previous conviction involving an attack on a 13-year-old girl. Prosecutors say Izlar removed his GPS tracking device and moved to a house where two girls, ages 6 and 9, were temporarily living.

Authorities say Izlar began to touch the girls inappropriately, and the children reported the abuse to a relative.
