KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - A 5-year-old Georgia boy reported missing after his mother’s stabbing is safe, and his father is in custody.

Kennesaw police say Ethan Peterman couldn’t be located after his mother ran screaming from an apartment with multiple stab wounds Thursday night.

The woman was rushed to a hospital by ambulance, and an alert went out for the child.

Authorities say the boy was found safe around daybreak Friday at a home in DeKalb County, and father Joseph T. Davis was arrested.

Police haven’t announced charges against the 35-year-old man. But WSB-TV (https://bit.ly/1DMC3kf ) reports he was arrested twice previously on domestic violence charges involving the woman, Mia Peterman.

There’s no immediate word on the woman’s condition.
