LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway officials say changes are coming to the state’s busiest intersection.

Lanes will be closed, narrowed or shifted Saturday where Interstates 430 and 630 intersect in west Little Rock as part of a yearslong improvement project.

After Saturday’s work, eastbound traffic on Financial Center Parkway will travel over Shackleford Road to reach eastbound I-630. Traffic headed to the Baptist hospital complex will exit before the overpass and go through a traffic signal.

Traffic from I-430 southbound will have to yield to I-630 traffic.

Crews will also install overhead signs and paint the pavement. If the weather is bad the work will be delayed.

The highway department has posted a video at www.vimeo.com/ahtd/shackleford

Crews recently opened a new ramp from I-430 northbound to I-630 eastbound.
