HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) - A southwest Ohio mother says she knows chances of seeing her son alive again are fading after four years, but she still wants to know what happened.

The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News (https://bit.ly/1AsFsDC ) reports that Butler County sheriff’s deputies conducted an intense search for his possible remains Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near the village of New Miami. But the five-hour hunt with cadaver dogs found no sign of William DiSilvestro.

The man who was then 28 was last seen leaving a party in Hamilton on Feb. 7, 2011. His family said he had no money and left his cellphone behind.

His mother Debbie Estes was informed Thursday of the search, which came after a tip from a confidential informant. She says she will continue to pursue efforts to find him.
