LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - An Army veteran who returned to Vietnam to deal with his memories 40 years after serving there will speak in Louisville next week on his experience.

Michael Moryc (MOR’-ihk) is a Nashville, Tennessee-based nature photographer. He has struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder and participated in therapy to deal with memories of war dating to 1968, when he arrived in Vietnam at the age of 20.

Decades later, he returned to the country with friend David Horvath of Louisville and documented the visit with photography.

Moryc will share his story and images during the free, public talk that starts at 4 p.m. EST Tuesday in Chao Auditorium at the University of Louisville’s Ekstrom Library.
