DALLAS (AP) - A Dallas woman seen on live TV confronting the driver of a stolen car that hit her minivan has been given a new vehicle.

A car dealer on Thursday donated a Kia Sedona to Jessica Liesmann (LEES’-man).

Dallas television stations on Wednesday had live coverage of police chasing a stolen car when the fleeing vehicle hit Liesmann’s van at an intersection. Her teenage son was also in her van.

The mother is seen leaping out, rushing to the suspect and allegedly grabbing and shoving him as he got out of the wrecked car. Police soon arrived.

The suspect was being held Friday on charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest. Dallas police say Liesmann does not face any charges.

The new vehicle was donated by Southwest Kia in Mesquite.
