YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Raven Lee scored 32 points on 8 of 13 shooting and 13 of 15 at the free throw line to help lead Eastern Michigan to a 78-75 victory over Akron on Saturday.

Karrington Ward finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Tim Bond added 12 points for the Eagles (16-9, 5-7 Mid-American Conference), whose win snaps a five game losing streak to Akron.

Eastern Michigan led the entire second half but Akron made late charge, cutting the Eagles lead to three on a Noah Robotham jumper with 16 second left. But a free throw by Lee and two more by Ward put the game out of reach.

Eastern Michigan shot 53.1 percent from the field and held the Zips (17-8, 8-4) to 32.1 percent. The Eagles rank fifth in the nation in field goal percentage defense (36.8).

Pat Forsythe scored 17 points to lead Akron. Robotham had 15.
