DEVORE, Calif. (AP) - A former aide to a San Bernardino County supervisor has been charged with delivering drugs to an inmate.

The Daily Press reports (https://bit.ly/1EsrZL9 ) 53-year-old Michael Lipsitz was released on bail Friday.

Lipsitz was appointed as a field representative in April and fired almost immediately after authorities announced their case. Investigators claim Lipsitz brought drugs to 25-year-old Joshua Rhodes during a visit at a rehabilitation center in Devore.

Lipsitz has denied the accusations to several media outlets.

He has been charged with two felony counts of bringing a controlled substance into a jail. Rhodes has been charged with two felony counts of possessing a controlled substance in jail.
