MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Cobb County Prosecutors say a woman caught shoplifting with her son has been given a 10-year sentence.

District Attorney’s spokeswoman Kim Isaza says 34-year-old Kizzy Jenkins of Atlanta was convicted of theft by shoplifting and delinquency of a minor. Authorities say Jenkins, her 13-year-old son and her daughter were at Macy’s at Cumberland Mall in December 2013 and a loss prevention officer saw her pick up a pair of designer sunglasses. Authorities say the officer also saw Jenkins’ son pick up boxes of Chanel lotion, perfume and shower gel.

Authorities say when the officer confronted Jenkins and her son outside the store, she dropped the glasses and said her son stole all of the items. Prosecutors say Jenkins is ordered to spend 2 years in prison and eight on probation.
