CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - The city of Klamath Falls has hired Corvallis Police Capt. Dave Henslee to be its next police chief.

The Corvallis Gazette-Times reports (https://is.gd/fv8uMe ) Henslee accepted the job Friday, after he was selected from a pool of five finalists.

He has been with the Corvallis department for 22 years and is scheduled to start his new job March 30.

Henslee grew up in the Rogue Valley area, roughly 60 miles from Klamath Falls. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
