NEW YORK (AP) - One hundred couples braved whipping winds and biting temperatures to say “I do” at the top of the Empire State Building.

The Daily News reports (https://nydn.us/1ACzSPl ) the lucky lovebirds won an online lottery in order to join the Valentine’s Day group nuptials on Saturday. The group gathered on the building’s 86th-floor observation deck. The deck is famous for its role in iconic romantic Hollywood movies like “Sleepless in Seattle.”

Phillip Huynh and Braden Istas were planning a destination wedding in Panama. But the couple from Brooklyn couldn’t resist the allure of the sky-high ceremony.

Huynh said it was amazing to get married in the “most iconic building in New York City.”
