SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle police say a woman was wounded Friday evening as multiple shots were fired in a park in the city’s Central District.

Detective Patrick Michaud says witnesses told officers that a suspect had boarded a bus headed downtown. Police found the 26-year-old man and arrested him, recovering two handguns.

The 29-year-old woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the thigh.

Michaud says gang unit detectives and crime scene investigators have recovered dozens of shell casings at the scene. They think two groups may have been shooting at each other.
