BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Drivers are being warned about traffic delays on Interstate-91 north in Brattleboro while work continues to replace the old two-lane bridges over the West River and Route 30 with a new four-lane bridge.

The state says the delays are expected between exits 2 and 3 on Sunday and Monday afternoon of the President’s Day weekend.

Drivers are encouraged to travel on Route 5 instead or to reschedule their plans to avoid high travel times.

The state says until the work is completed, both northbound and southbound traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction in that area.
