CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Corvallis police say they’re investigating what appears to be a killing at a city park.

Police cordoned a large wooded area in Alan B. Berg Park where the body of a woman was found Sunday.

Investigators said she died sometime before 10:30 a.m. Sunday of what they describe as “homicidal violence.”

The police said Monday an autopsy is planned, and they’re trying to make a positive identification. They said the woman was white and an adult.

Investigators said they don’t have a suspect or person of interest.

The Gazette-Times reported (https://bit.ly/1DhWDtG ) the park is on city-owned land in Linn County, east of downtown.
