SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say 19 vehicles were damaged in a chain-reaction crash that jammed up Interstate 81 near the Interstate 690 interchange in Syracuse.

Sgt. Gary Bulinski tells media outlets that the crash around 8:30 Monday morning happened when vehicles tried to slow down behind an uninvolved car that had lost control. No injuries were reported in the crash. Ten vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Police say no tickets have been issued.
