MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A Wisconsin zoo is celebrating the upcoming arrival of an orangutan expected to be born in six to eight weeks.

The Henry Villas Zoo in Madison hosted a baby shower Saturday for the soon-to-be-parents, Kawan and Datu. The orangutans were able to open presents and enjoy some treats.

Zookeeper Beth Peterson tells WITI-TV (https://bit.ly/1Atz8NY ) the zoo is prepared for the baby’s arrival around mid-March to mid-April. She says she thinks Kawan will be a great mother.

Officials are planning to hold another event after the baby is been born and settles in to life at the zoo.
