MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Police in Missoula have arrested a man on suspicion of setting fire to a mattress at a motel room.

Fire Marshal Gordy Hughes says Motel 6 employees removed the man from his room and extinguished the fire shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday. Hughes says minimal damage was done to the mattress.

Police arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of arson. They did not release his name. He could not make a court appearance until Tuesday due to the federal President’s Day holiday.
