CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) - Jasmine Joyner scored 18 points and No. 20 Chattanooga had no trouble beating Western Carolina 66-41 on Monday.

Joyner was 9 of 16 from the field with six blocked shots and three steals for Chattanooga (23-3, 11-0 Southern Conference). Chelsey Shumpert had 13 points and Keiana Gilbert had 10 points and six rebounds as the Mocs shot 51 percent overall.

Chattanooga proved to be just too much for the Catamounts, running up a 35-11 score by halftime as Shumpert and Gilbert combined for 17 points.

Joyner took over early in the second half, hitting three buckets in the first four minutes, and the Mocs’ lead hit 30 on Alicia Payne’s layup before coach Jim Foster opened his bench.

Western Carolina (9-17, 1-10) was led by Justin Taylor with 11 points and Ace Easter with 10.
