SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old Bronx man has been charged with attempted murder and assault after two students were stabbed during an altercation in a privately owned student housing complex near Schenectady County Community College.

Schenectady police tell media outlets that all three men lived at the College Suites where the incident happened Sunday afternoon. Henzlee Miranda of the Bronx was arrested early Monday and was arraigned in city court before being sent to jail without bail. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer.

The victims’ names weren’t released. Police say they’re in fair condition at Albany Medical Center.

The 2-year-old building is across the street from the college and is owned by United Management Realty. The company says it will investigate whether security procedures need to be changed.
