WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - The VA Medical Center in White River Junction is holding an open house this week to answer questions and help veterans complete their health care applications.

The event takes place Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the facility’s research building.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and veterans and their family members may also learn more about VA compensation benefits and health care services.

Veterans who want to apply for health care with the VA Health Care System can do so at the event as long as they bring a copy of their discharge paperwork, a photo ID and financial information from the previous year. They may also access the application online at and clicking on the link: “become a patient.”
