SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A woman is in custody after crashing a stolen vehicle during a police chase and then fleeing on foot.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1Fkz2cA) that a Unified police officer on saw a vehicle dragging a small cement mixer on its side on Monday afternoon near 3300 South and West Temple. When the officer tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver entered an Interstate 15 on-ramp and the vehicle rolled over.

The driver, a 32-year-old woman, fled to a nearby motel and was later arrested there. Police said both the vehicle and the cement mixer were stolen.

The on ramp was closed from about 3:40 to 5:20 p.m. while the Utah Department of Transportation cleared the crash site.
