LYNDON, Vt. (AP) - The Lyndon State College Veterans Club and other groups are going to be hosting the third Northeast Kingdom Veterans Summit at the college.

The March 14 event is designed to bring together veterans, their families, and veteran service organizations to build relationships and to enhance a regional support network.

This keynote speaker is award-winning writer Ruth W. Crocker, the author of the 2014 book, “Those Who Remain: Remembrance and Reunion After War.”

Among the activities will be sessions for veterans and their families on topics such as post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. There will also be employment opportunities and special sessions for women veterans, student veterans, and veteran farmers.

More than 50 veteran service organizations will have information booths to provide a “one-stop-shop” for veterans.
