LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Gov. Asa Hutchinson has named a new director of the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division at the state Department of Finance and Administration.

The governor said Thursday that Gary “Bud” Roberts will run the division, which administers the state’s liquor laws. He cited Roberts’ experience in Arkansas law and knowledge of commission issues in his decision.

Roberts runs a solo law practice in Benton and founded and ran a Little Rock firm for 19 years. He graduated from the William H. Bowen Law School at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and also has a finance degree from LSU.
