PHOENIX (AP) - A vehicle crashed into the Republic Media building in downtown Phoenix after authorities say the driver apparently suffered a diabetic seizure.

Paramedics took the 45-year-old to Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center for treatment after Thursday afternoon’s crash. The man’s name wasn’t immediately released.

Phoenix police say the gold Lexus crashed into a section of the Republic Media building, which houses The Arizona Republic, 12 News and AZ Central.

Witnesses say the car drove onto the sidewalk where it hit a stairway railing and then collided with a window, shattering two panels of floor-to-ceiling glass.

There were no reported injuries inside the building.
