INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Dunkin’ Donuts plans to open 46 new stores in Indiana within a few years, adding to the 30 restaurants already in the state.

The Indianapolis Star (https://indy.st/1JrS43U ) reports locations for the new coffee-and-doughnuts stores haven’t been determined. The company says it has signed agreements with franchisees to open stores in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Lafayette, and is also looking for store operators in Evansville and Terre Haute.

The Massachusetts-based company has been expanding westward, and it wants to more than double the number of its locations nationally from roughly 8,000 to 17,000. Chicago has more than 500 Dunkin’ Donuts stores.
