LONGVIEW, Texas (AP) - A standoff has ended at an East Texas apartment complex with one person hurt following multiple shots fired.

Longview police late Thursday morning said the standoff was over, the scene was secure and one person was transported to a hospital. Police didn’t immediately say who was injured during the nearly five-hour standoff.

Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian says officers shortly before 6 a.m. CST Thursday responded to a report of an “unknown problem.”

Multiple shots were heard hours later coming from the scene as police apparently negotiated with a man at the Saddle Brook Apartments. An ambulance was seen leaving the complex at the end of the standoff.

Further details weren’t immediately available.

Longview is 115 miles southeast of Dallas.
