NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City man attending medical school in Syracuse faces child pornography charges.

Brennan Chan of Queens has been arraigned on 11 counts of possessing a child sexual performance. He could get up to 7 years in prison if convicted.

Federal agents were investigating shared images of child sexual abuse. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says they discovered Chan was sharing a 51-minute video depicting an 11-year-old girl removing her clothing and other sexual acts.

Authorities say Chan had a list of files, including others of girls around the same age.

Prosecutors say Chan was using his neighbor’s Internet service. Prosecutors say a search warrant uncovered 24 videos, and at least eight involved young girls.

Chan’s attorney had no comment Wednesday.
