PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Snow-weary New England is getting still more snow.

The latest storm arrived Wednesday night and is expected to dump as much as 8 to 10 inches of snow before it ends Thursday in Maine. New Hampshire is expected to get lesser amounts, along the order of 3 to 6 inches.

The snowfall just adds to growing piles.

Meteorologist James Brown from the National Weather Service office in Gray, Maine, says snowfall is above average across the region. In Portland, for example, nearly 80 inches of snow had fallen before the latest storm, putting the city more than three feet above normal.
