EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) - Byron Ashe came off the bench to score 23 points, one off his career-high, to help lead Mount Saint Mary’s to an 82-65 win over LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night.

Gregory Graves finished with 18 points and five rebounds and Andrew Smeathers added 15 points for the Mountaineers (13-13, 9-6 Northeastern Conference), who have won three of their last four.

The Mountaineers had a 12-0 late in the first half, capped off by a Taylor Danaher layup, that helped them to a 38-30 lead at halftime. Mount Saint Mary’s started the second period on a 12-2 run which pushed its lead past double-digits and put the game away.

Martin Hermannsson led LIU Brooklyn (12-14, 8-7) with 11 points.
