PEARL, Miss. (AP) - Pearl Police Chief Ben Schuler is retiring in March.

Schuler has been police chief in Pearl since 2009. He has been in law enforcement for 25 years, including 21 years with the Pearl Police Department.

His retirement is effective March 6. He said Thursday he has a new job but won’t talk about it for now.

Pearl Mayor Brad Rogers says the city will look for a replacement soon.
