RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City woman has entered a not guilty plea in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

The Rapid City Journal (https://bit.ly/1MzM2Nz ) reports 43-year-old Corinne Vermillion pleaded not guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder and an alternative count of first-degree manslaughter. She’s accused of fatally stabbing 37-year-old Donny Ladeaux last month at a public housing complex in Pennington County, where the couple and their two children lived.

Preliminary autopsy results show Ladeaux died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Vermillion says she stabbed Ladeaux in self-defense during an argument.
