PRINCETON, W.Va. (AP) - A Bluefield man charged with killing his estranged wife will undergo a psychological evaluation.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1AWAejM ) reports that a Mercer County circuit judge approved a defense motion requesting the evaluation on Wednesday.

Twenty-five-year-old Michael Neel is charged with first-degree murder. He is accused of fatally shooting 21-year-old Kayla Neel and wounding 21-year-old Dakota Walls in December 2014. Police say the victims were shot while sitting in a pickup truck parked outside the home of Kayla Neel’s parents near Bluewell.
